Mitsubishi Cars

Mitsubishi was one of Japan's original automobile manufacturers. After producing its first vehicle in 1917, Mitsubishi broadened it trade to trucks, buses, auto parts and powertrains. Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America was later founded in 1982, and Mitsubishi has since established itself in import market.

On the strength of the Mitsubishi Mirage, the Galant, the Eclipse and Eclipse Spyder, the Montero and Montero Sport, and the Diamante, Mitsubishi set company car sales record in 1999 and 2000. As a result, Mitsubishi is one of the fastest growing Japanese automakers in America.
