Suzuki SUVs
Founder Michio Suzuki set out to build a better weaving loom. He did so with such
success, Suzuki decided to expand the company's product. With their
skilled machining capabilities, Suzuki saw the automotive industry
as the obvious direction. By 1939, Suzuki had produced several prototypes.
The American Suzuki Motor Corporation was established in the early 60s, having broadened their repertoire to include motorcycles, ATVs and outboard engines.
Suzuki helped initiate the recent SUV craze with the Samurai, which
was described as a "tough, sporty, and practical means of transportation."
Suzuki's current SUV, the Vitara and Grand Vitara, join the Suzuki
Swift and the Esteem as Suzuki's automotive distribution.
